ABOUT RAWINA
Hi, I’m Rawinia Judson. An Award-nominated Life & Leadership Coach with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies majoring in Marketing & Management Communication, Beautiful You Coaching Academy trained, and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. I’m also the Author of the Amazon Best-selling Book You Are Not Alone.
I have a 19+ year career in Customer Service across media, retail, events, advertising and hospitality from front-line roles, to project management, to training and developing teams both regionally and nationally. I’ve also been a highly sought-after CrossFit Coach in the fitness industry in Aotearoa, New Zealand since 2016.
I have taken everything I learned in my career to coach, mentor, and guide CEO’s, founders and leaders to develop the essential skills and gaps to create a life and career that feels fulfilling and whole. I know first-hand the impact intrusive thoughts, imposter syndrome, and a lack of self-belief can have on our lives so I blend Te Ao Māori principles and utilise a holistic results-driven approach backed by science to create life-long sustainable change in all areas of life.
I also bring the lived experience of being a single Māori Woman of faith who is a leader of influence in my family and communities by continually practising my own leadership principles and values in my work.
I believe every single person has a gift and a purpose and mine is supporting leaders to see their full potential and develop the necessary skills to bring it to life, so they can create joyful and fulfilling lives that leave a legacy.
My specialties and expertise include change, emotional resilience, authenticity, creativity, mindfulness, spirituality, integrity, character development, living with excellence, developing courage and choosing joy.
Q&A
Who inspires you?
People who have struggled through adversity and been able to create a life they love. I admire people who have such a deep belief that it doesn’t have to be this way and they do everything they can to change it and never give up.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
Aotearoa, New Zealand. The whenua (land) of home will always hold my heart no matter where I am in the world. I love to travel and immerse myself in new cultures, experiences and places, however nothing compares to the love and embrace I feel when I step onto the land of my people.
What do you spend your time on?
I invest a lot of my time into my work. Creating impact and leading a legacy of change requires time and effort and it’s something I don’t hold lightly. I know my ancestors fought for my right to live and so I believe it’s my duty to do and create the same for the future generations and those who are yet to come in my place. If I’m not working, I’m at home resting and spending time with the Lord, or curled up with one of my favourite books. You’ll find me at a café drinking coffee with my friends, out for a walk taking in the environment around me, or at the gym taking care of my mental and physical wellbeing.
What’s the most courageous thing you’ve ever done?
Choosing to work for myself. I spent the better part of my life in debt and struggling with my relationship to money. I had a lot of fear about not being able to support myself financially however I knew deep down this is where God was calling me and leading me, to this ministry. Going out on my own has really gotten me to take ownership of this part of my life, steward my finances well and do the work both internally and externally on how I take care of my money, what I do with it, and trusting God will provide for me every step of the way when I am obedient to Him and have faith in His calling on His life for me.
What is your favourite way to have fun?
Dancing. There is nothing I love more than getting lost inside the words of a song I needed to hear and letting my body take over and live with abandon. I also love to express myself through fashion and what I wear. Ultimately, anything creative brings me so much joy - cooking, baking, finding order in the chaos.
What is your favourite food?
Pizza is my current go to. I often spend months obsessed about a food, and then get bored of it and switch it up. Anyone else relate?
What inspired you to start writing and coaching?
It was something that ‘just happened’ but really I believe it was written in the stars. Writing came naturally to me and people always asked me for advice. I listened to these two things deeply. I noticed how people loved my writing, asked to read my writing, and similarly, how people would just open up to me and share things with me they had never shared with another person. It was here I realized the natural innate gifts I was given by God - my ability to see, hear, and help others to heal and be their absolute best in Him.
