Q&A

Who inspires you?

People who have struggled through adversity and been able to create a life they love. I admire people who have such a deep belief that it doesn’t have to be this way and they do everything they can to change it and never give up.

Where is your favourite place in New Zealand?

Mount Maunganui. I grew up at the beach and so the ocean is one of my first loves. I love how laidback everyone is and the escape from the hustle of city life.

What do you spend your time on?

My work. My work is so deeply rewarding and it lights me up. I am so grateful I get to do what I love every day. It often doesn’t feel like work to me. If I’m not working, I’m at home with my family. I have a niece who I love and who is my greatest teacher and joy. Otherwise, you’ll find me curled up on the couch reading a fantasy book, or at a café drinking coffee with my friends.

What’s the most courageous thing you’ve ever done?

Choosing to work for myself. I spent the better part of my life in debt and struggling with my relationship to money. I had a lot of fear about not being able to support myself financially. Going out on my own has really gotten me to take ownership of this part of my life and do the work both internally and externally on my money mindset and management so I can continue to live the life of my dreams.

What is your favourite way to express yourself?

Writing first and foremost, followed by dancing and singing. Lately, I have rekindled my love for fashion and expressing my creativity through what I wear. Ultimately, anything creative brings me so much joy - cooking, baking, finding order in the chaos.

What is your favourite food?

Burgers. I love a good burger and love to try new places. Got any good recommendations?

What inspired you to start writing and coaching?

It was something that ‘just happened’ but really I believe it was written in the stars. Writing came naturally to me and people always asked me for advice. I listened to these two things deeply. I noticed how people loved my writing, asked to read my writing, and similarly, how people would just open up to me and share things with me they had never shared with another person. It was here I realized the natural innate gifts I was given by God - my ability to see, hear, and heal.
